It also sells some rights related to the secondary use of works in Japan and overseas; and publishes and sells comic magazines, such as magazines and periodicals, comic books, illustration collections, and other related books, as well as e-books. IG Port, Inc. was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Musashino, Japan.

Nippon Ichi Software rebounds on news that Hono Kurashi no Niwa has surpassed 100,000 units sold

The Tokyo stock market rebounded in the morning session on August 4. The Nikkei Stock Average ended the morning at 63,957.53 yen, up 202.63 yen from the previous business day. In the gaming and entertainment sector, Nippon Ichi Software rebounded after announcing that cumulative domestic sales of its latest title Hono Kurashi no Niwa, released on July 30, have surpassed 100,000 units. Mandarake extended gains on strong monthly trends, and KLab was also bought. Meanwhile, IG Port fell back on profit-taking after a seven-day winning streak, despite announcing that its subsidiary had signed a partnership agreement with Fields for global merchandising expansion.

Game and entertainment stocks mixed in morning session as earnings results divide market — Taito and Toho rise, IG Port and Overlap Holdings plunge

The Tokyo stock market fell in the morning session on July 16, with the Nikkei Stock Average ending the morning at 66,796.79 yen, down 1,954.72 yen from the previous business day. Following selling of semiconductor-related stocks in the U.S. market the previous day, related issues were sold heavily, and at one point the index fell 2,252.02 yen to 66,499.49 yen. The sharp drop in South Korea's KOSPI also cooled investor sentiment. Among game and entertainment-related companies, of the 99 registered issues, 45 rose, 48 fell, and 6 were unchanged, with sellers in the lead. Earnings announcements divided the market, with Taito and Toho rising sharply while IG Port and Overlap Holdings plunged.

Papires and Four Other Companies Announce Share Buybacks

After the close on the 15th, five companies — Papires, IG Port, Sheila HD, Last One Mile, and Papanets — announced share buybacks. Papires set a maximum of 1 million shares, representing 11.52% of outstanding shares excluding treasury stock, with a cap of 1.1 billion yen, and a purchase period from July 16 to September 30. IG Port set a maximum of 230,000 shares, or 1.14%, with a cap of 300 million yen, from July 16 to October 31. Sheila HD set a maximum of 300,000 shares, or 0.79%, with a cap of 100 million yen, from July 16 to October 30. Last One Mile set a maximum of 56,000 shares, or 2.05%, with a cap of 200 million yen, from July 16 to December 15. Papanets will buy back up to 400,000 shares, or 20.65%, with a cap of 1 billion yen, from July 17 to July 29.
