Maruwa Co., Ltd. produces and sells ceramics and electronic parts in Japan and internationally. It operates through the Ceramic Components Business and Lighting Equipment segments. Its offerings include ceramic substrates and fillers, metalized and multilayer ceramic substrates, pressed ceramic products, ceramic hermetic seals, ultra-high purity SiC components, antennas, EMC and RF components, capacitors, quartz glass products such as quartz tubes and boats, and aluminum nitride components. The company also provides LED streetlights, tunnel lights, and landscape lights, along with technical consultation services, serving automotive, telecommunications, semiconductor, industrial equipment, and lighting applications. Formerly known as Maruwa Ceramic Co., Ltd., it changed its name to Maruwa Co., Ltd. in 1999, was incorporated in 1973, and is headquartered in Owariasahi, Japan.

MARUWA shares surge 9% on forecast of 35% operating profit growth by fiscal 2027

MARUWA's stock price rose 9% from the previous trading day to 58,470 yen on September 7, showing a volatile swing of more than 20% over the past month. The company raised its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, now expecting net sales of 93.3 billion yen (up 25.3% year-on-year) and operating profit of 33.7 billion yen (up 34.9% from the initial forecast). At the first quarter stage, sales were 19.2 billion yen and operating profit was 6.3 billion yen, indicating a back-loaded second half, but the company anticipates expansion in next-generation high-speed communication-related demand and a recovery in general-purpose memory. For the fiscal year ended March 2026, sales were 74.4 billion yen (up 3.7%) and operating profit was 24.9 billion yen (down 7.2%), a decline, but the operating margin was high at 33.5%, and the planned annual dividend is expected to increase to 110 yen.
