Peng Shibin, former second-level specialist at Southwest Securities, is under investigation for suspected serious disciplinary and legal violations. He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. Peng previously served as head of the discipline inspection group stationed at the Chongqing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau by the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, head of the first inspection team of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and head of the discipline inspection and supervision group stationed at Southwest Securities by the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. Southwest Securities is the only national comprehensive securities firm registered in Chongqing. In 2025, it achieved operating revenue of 3.207 billion yuan, up 25.35 percent year on year, and net profit of 1.062 billion yuan, up 51.90 percent year on year.
