Ruifeng Bank first-half revenue slips nearly 2%, net profit rises 0.94% to about 900 million yuan

Ruifeng Bank disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report. In the first half, it achieved operating revenue of 2.214 billion yuan, down 1.96% year on year, while net profit attributable to shareholders of the bank was 898 million yuan, up 0.94% year on year. The divergence in performance stemmed from differences in income structure. Net interest income was 1.757 billion yuan, up 12.04% year on year, and net fee and commission income was 68 million yuan, up 25.08% year on year. However, investment income was 326 million yuan, down 47.06% year on year, dragging non-interest net income down 33.77% year on year. As of the end of June, the bank's total assets were 255.643 billion yuan, up 5.86% from the beginning of the year. Total loans were 146.818 billion yuan, an increase of 3.97%. The non-performing loan ratio was 1.09%, up 0.10 percentage point from the beginning of the year. Ruifeng Bank also launched its first interim dividend plan since listing, proposing to distribute a cash dividend of 1 yuan per 10 shares before tax, with an estimated total payout of about 196 million yuan, accounting for 21.85% of net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half.

Bank of Shanghai and Bank of Nanjing simultaneously disclosed share purchase plans, driving a notable recovery in the A-share banking sector in July. Some directors, executives, and mid-level managers of Bank of Shanghai plan to voluntarily increase their holdings with no less than 15 million yuan of their own funds, with the implementation period starting from July 21, 2026, for six months. Bank of Nanjing's major shareholder, Jiangsu Communications Holding Company Limited, after accumulating a 15 percent stake over nearly ten months in the previous round, has again made a new commitment to increase holdings over the next 12 months, with a cumulative minimum investment of 100 million yuan. Previously, share purchase plans of several city and rural commercial banks, including Changshu Bank and Ruifeng Bank, have been fully implemented. Among them, Ruifeng Bank's management actually bought 2.50039 million shares, exceeding the original target of 2.47 million shares. Boosted by the intensive share purchases, the Shenwan Banking Index rose 2.32 percent on July 20, with sector turnover exceeding 45.5 billion yuan. However, as of the end of June, the sector had still fallen more than 12 percent for the year, all 42 A-share listed banks were trading below book value, and the overall price-to-book ratio was about 0.6 times.
