Nanhua Futures first-half net profit up 68%, overseas business becomes core driver

The first interim report from a listed futures company is out. Nanhua Futures achieved 68% net profit growth in the first half of 2026, driven by the standout performance of its overseas subsidiary. Nanhua Futures reported first-half operating revenue of 879 million yuan, up 48.18% year on year; net profit attributable to the parent of 388 million yuan, up 67.91%; and non-GAAP net profit of 384 million yuan, up 65.88%. The core driver of the earnings growth was its overseas financial services business. Its overseas subsidiary, Henghua International, posted first-half operating revenue of 522 million yuan, up 60% year on year, and net profit of 361 million yuan, up 63%. As overall trading activity in the futures market picked up, the other three listed futures companies on the A-share market have all issued earnings forecasts, generally projecting high profit growth for the first half, with the upper end of the forecast growth range approaching 90%. According to data from the China Futures Association, from January to July this year, nationwide futures market cumulative trading volume reached 6.107 billion lots and cumulative turnover reached 568.98 trillion yuan, up 18.93% and 38.43% year on year respectively. The 150 futures companies nationwide reported combined first-half operating revenue of 23.088 billion yuan and net profit of 6.908 billion yuan, up 23.62% and 36.15% year on year respectively.
