Seiko Epson Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, sells, and provides services for products in the printing solutions, visual communications, manufacturing-related and wearables, and other businesses. It operates through three segments: Printing Solutions, Visual Communications, and Manufacturing-related and Wearables segments. The Printing Solutions segment offers home and office inkjet printers, serial impact dot matrix printers, page printers, color image scanners dry office paper machines, commercial and industrial inkjet printers, inkjet printheads, printers for use in POS systems, label printers, printer consumables, and digital printing software solutions. The Visual Communications segment provides LCD projectors for business, education, the home, and event; smart glasses; and others. The Manufacturing-related and Wearables segment offers industrial robots, watches, watch movements, and others; and crystal units, crystal oscillators, quartz sensors, and others for consumer, automotive, and industrial equipment applications. This segment also provides CMOS LSIs and other chips for consumer electronics and automotive applications; and metal powders for use as raw materials in the production of electronic components, etc., as well as value-added surface finishing in a range of industrial fields. It also sells PCs. It operates in Japan, the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia, People's Republic of China, and internationally. Seiko Epson Corporation was incorporated in 1942 and is headquartered in Suwa-shi, Japan.

DeNA, Mercari, and Others Announce Share Buybacks and Cancellations

After the close on the 5th, multiple companies announced share buybacks or cancellations. DeNA will cancel 19,109,700 shares, representing 15.6% of its outstanding shares, effective August 31. Mercari will conduct a share buyback of up to 4 million shares, or 2.4% of outstanding shares excluding treasury stock, with a maximum value of 10 billion yen, from August 6 to October 30, and will cancel all acquired shares on November 12. Epson will acquire up to 17 million shares, or 5.31% of outstanding shares, with a cap of 30 billion yen, from August 7 through March 31, 2027. Sanyo Chemical will buy back up to 500,000 shares for a maximum of 2.5 billion yen, and will also cancel 1 million shares. In addition, Arc Core, Ryobi, Techno Medica, Yokohama FG, Sanshin Electronics, Toyo Tec, and Fuji Kyuko also announced share buybacks or cancellations.
