It also provides current, pressure, millimeter-wave, and magnetic sensors; and remote and analog meter monitoring systems, communication modules, and capacitive sensing modules for automotive, consumer, and industrial machinery markets. In addition, the company integrated displays, sound systems, electric shifters, power window switches, cabin controllers, functional surfaces, amplifiers and speakers, alpine premium sound systems, and customized car products. Further, it provides systems development, office, and financing and leasing services, as well as solution for car rental operators. The company was formerly known as Alps Electric Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Alps Alpine Co., Ltd. in January 2019. Alps Alpine Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 1948 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

Kioxia, Seven & i, and 20 Other Companies Announce Share Buybacks

After the close on July 31, 22 companies including Kioxia and Seven & i Holdings announced share buybacks. Kioxia will acquire up to 30 million shares, representing 5.5% of outstanding shares, for a maximum of 800 billion yen, while Seven & i will acquire up to 189,663,300 shares, or 8.19% of outstanding shares, for a maximum of 399,999,989,700 yen, both through ToSTNeT-3 on the morning of August 3. Resona Holdings will buy back up to 30 million shares, or 1.34%, for up to 50 billion yen from August 3 through January 31, 2027. Alps Alpine will acquire up to 20 million shares, or 10.3%, for up to 30 billion yen from August 3 through March 31, 2027, and cancel all repurchased shares. Marvelous will buy back up to 4,630,700 shares, or 7.61%, for up to 2,167,167,600 yen through ToSTNeT-3, and will cancel 5,003,341 shares, representing 8.04% of outstanding shares, effective August 6.

Alps Alpine announces share buyback of up to 10.3% or 30 billion yen

Alps Alpine announced on the 31st that it will conduct a share buyback of up to 20 million shares, representing 10.3% of outstanding shares, with a maximum total of 30 billion yen. The repurchase period runs from August 3 to March 31, 2027, and all acquired shares are scheduled to be cancelled on March 31, 2027. The company also reported a net loss of 3.5 billion yen for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, widening from a loss of 2.8 billion yen in the same period a year earlier. Operating profit swung to a loss of 900 million yen, hit by lower sales of components for mobile devices and higher costs due to rising semiconductor prices for storage devices amid expanding data center investments. Full-year earnings forecasts were left unchanged.
