It operates through five segments: Safety Security Protection (SSP), Thermal, Medical, Printed Wiring Board Assembly (PWBA), and Fire Pump. The SSP segment develops, manufactures, and sells fire alarm, fire extinguishing, and explosion suppression systems, and provides design, construction, maintenance, and engineering services for these systems. The Thermal segment offers temperature controllers, heating plates and equipment for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, thermocouples for high-temperature furnaces, and other temperature control equipment and related systems. The Medical segment provides artificial kidney dialysis machines and medical devices; the PWBA segment offers printed circuit board assembly, artwork design, and noise (EMC) countermeasures; and the Fire Pump segment provides firefighting and disaster prevention equipment such as fire pumps, fire pump carriers, safety pumps, and fully automatic fire extinguishing systems. The company was incorporated in 1961 and is headquartered in Chiyoda, Japan.
