Alibaba Network Ends ASR Microelectronics Stake Reduction Early, Cashing Out About 703 Million Yuan

ASR Microelectronics disclosed after market close on September 10 that Alibaba China Network Technology, a shareholder holding more than 5 percent, saw its stake fall from 11.17 percent to 10.58 percent during the reduction process, hitting the 1 percent threshold, and decided to terminate the current reduction plan early. The remaining 4,783,300 shares originally planned for reduction will no longer be sold. According to the announcement, Alibaba Network reduced its holdings by a total of 7,765,800 shares through block trades and centralized bidding, representing 1.8565 percent of the company's total share capital, at prices ranging from 82.91 yuan to 107.87 yuan per share, for a total reduction amount of approximately 703 million yuan. Of this, 2,482,700 shares were sold between September 8 and September 10. Alibaba Network was an important pre-IPO shareholder of ASR Microelectronics. Before the reduction plan was implemented, it directly held 52,008,400 shares, or 12.4333 percent of total share capital. ASR Microelectronics swings to profit in first half with net profit of 84.24 million yuan

ASR Microelectronics released its 2026 interim report on August 28. First-half operating revenue was 2.451 billion yuan, up 29.1 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent swung to a profit of 84.24 million yuan, compared with a loss of 245 million yuan in the same period last year. Net profit attributable to the parent after deducting non-recurring items remained in the red, but the loss narrowed to 58.67 million yuan from 352 million yuan. In the second quarter, operating revenue was 1.32 billion yuan, up 33.7 percent year on year, and net profit attributable to the parent was 112 million yuan, compared with a loss of 123 million yuan a year earlier. The company said shipments of cellular baseband chips grew significantly, with first-quarter mass shipments of 5G NR chips exceeding 500,000 units and cumulative shipments reaching about 1.5 million units. Revenue from 4G cellular IoT chips was about 2.022 billion yuan, up 23 percent year on year. Its smart SoC chip market layout was further improved, and revenue from ASIC customization business was about 322 million yuan, up 155.47 percent year on year.
