Incorporated in 2003, it is based in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, and as of January 11, 2022, operates as a subsidiary of Mei Wah Industrial (Hong Kong) Limited.

Shenzhen Expressway announced that its controlling subsidiary Bay Area Development released its 2026 interim results on August 14, 2026, achieving operating revenue of approximately 402 million yuan, pre-tax profit of approximately 396 million yuan, and net profit attributable to the parent of approximately 283 million yuan. As of June 30, 2026, Bay Area Development had total assets of approximately 14.374 billion yuan and net assets of approximately 8.363 billion yuan. Bay Area Development proposed a 2026 interim dividend of approximately 283 million yuan, or 8.5 cents per share including tax.
