ABM Industries Launches Robotics Program at LaGuardia Airport Terminal B

ABM Industries has deployed a new robotics program at LaGuardia Airport's Terminal B, featuring autonomous inspection and cleaning robots, including one of the first robotic quadruped dogs used in a U.S. airport for facility monitoring. The initiative is designed to support day-to-day operations and passenger services using robotics and AI within a major airport terminal. The program gives ABM a real-world showcase for three robotics platforms in a high-traffic, premium facility, potentially strengthening its pitch for multi-year mobility and facility contracts across other airports. The deployment aligns with the company's focus on efficiency gains and cost savings, including at least $35 million of annual savings targeted from AI and process initiatives. The next test will be whether LaGuardia Gateway Partners and other airport operators expand or replicate the program, with new robotics-backed contract wins or extensions serving as key signposts.
