Novartis, Lilly, Bristol Myers Eye Aktis Oncology Takeover

Aktis Oncology, a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company, is seen as a potential acquisition target for Novartis, Eli Lilly, and Bristol Myers Squibb due to its alpha-emitting cancer platform and upcoming trial data. Aktis retains full worldwide rights to its miniprotein radioconjugate platform, with $517.3 million in cash and preliminary data from its lead candidate AKY-1189 expected in the first quarter of 2027. Novartis, whose Pluvicto grew 43% in Q2 2026, and Eli Lilly, already a $60 million upfront partner, rank as the top two strategic acquirers. Analysts target $34.42 for AKTS while the 24/7 Wall St. base case reaches $42.16, but a failed readout would erase the takeout premium entirely.
