Alerus Financial Corporation is the bank holding company for Alerus Financial, National Association, providing financial services to businesses and consumers in the United States. It operates in three segments: Banking, Retirement and Benefit Services, and Wealth. The company offers deposits, treasury management, commercial and consumer loans, retirement and investment advisory services, trust and custody services, and digital banking. Formerly known as First National Bank North Dakota, it changed its name to Alerus Financial Corporation in 2000. Founded in 1879, it is headquartered in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
