Amneal Pharmaceuticals reported second-quarter revenue of $796.2 million, up 9.9% year on year and beating analyst estimates by 3.6%, while adjusted earnings per share of $0.30 exceeded consensus by 30.3%. Zambon and Amneal Pharmaceuticals announced that the CHMP has adopted a positive opinion recommending EU marketing authorization for Hopledo®, a modified-release levodopa/carbidopa treatment for adults with Parkinson’s disease and moderate to severe motor fluctuations. The recommendation is based on the Phase 3 RISE-PD trial, which showed Hopledo® significantly increased “Good ON” time with fewer daily doses compared with immediate-release levodopa/carbidopa. Hopledo® is already approved and marketed in the United States as CREXONT®. If approved by the European Commission, Zambon expects to begin a phased introduction across European markets starting in October 2026.
