Burckhardt Compression has been selected by Hydrogen Solutions AS, or HYDS, to supply high-pressure hydrogen compression solutions for projects in the Nordics with a production capacity of 20 to 40 megawatts. The scope includes compression systems capable of reaching pressures of up to 515 bar for filling high-pressure tube trailers, enabling flexible hydrogen distribution where pipeline infrastructure is limited. The projects, developed by HYDS with regional partners, will use renewable electricity to produce hydrogen for decarbonizing maritime, mobility, and industrial sectors. Burckhardt Compression's reciprocating compressor technology is designed for high-pressure hydrogen applications, addressing gas purity, reliability, and durability. The execution of deliveries is subject to finalization of customary agreements between the two companies.

Burckhardt Compression has secured a milestone order to supply compression solutions for the first industrial-scale liquefied carbon dioxide carrier, deployed in the Northern Lights carbon capture and storage project. The order marks an important step in scaling carbon capture and storage from pilot applications to industrial use. The vessel represents a new industrial size and level of standardization for this emerging segment, supporting the build-out of CCS infrastructure and the connection of multiple emitters to centralized storage hubs. Burckhardt Compression's K-Laby compressors were chosen for their high operational flexibility, superior energy efficiency, and robust design, drawing on decades of experience in liquefied gas applications. Northern Lights is the world's first operational cross-border CO₂ transport and storage project, having entered operation in 2025 and now expanding capacity in response to growing demand from European industry.

Burckhardt Compression officially opened a new 16,000-square-foot parts warehouse in Hockley, Texas, on June 10, 2026. The climate-controlled facility serves as the central inventory hub for all of the company's operations in the US and Mexico, consolidating stock currently spread across six US locations. The investment is driven by a strategy to boost customer support, streamline inventory management, and improve operational efficiency, with the company able to pass on pricing benefits to customers. The new warehouse also enables the nearby Waller Aftermarket Service Center to reclaim approximately 30% of its existing floor space, allowing for the installation of additional machining capacity and the expansion of maintenance services. Once fully stocked, the Hockley hub will support all Burckhardt Compression service centers, field service teams, and customers directly, with most in-stock parts, including the TrueGem line, available for same-day shipping.
