The company also offers iLottery, a platform for eInstant and draw games, and processes commercial transactions such as prepaid cellular recharges, bill payments, e-vouchers, electronic tax payments, and money transfer services. It was formerly known as International Game Technology PLC and changed its name to Brightstar Lottery PLC in July 2025; it was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.

Brightstar Lottery launches €500M tender offer and new 2032 notes

Brightstar Lottery has launched a tender offer for its outstanding €500 million 2.375% senior secured notes due 2028 and announced a benchmark offering of new euro-denominated senior secured notes due 2032. The company will offer €990 per €1,000 principal amount for any and all Regulation S interests in the existing notes, plus accrued and unpaid interest. Proceeds from the new notes will fund the tender offer, repay borrowings under its senior revolving credit facilities, and cover related fees and expenses, with the aim of extending the weighted average maturity of its debt. The tender offer is expected to complete on September 18.

Brightstar Lottery CEO Renato Ascoli to step down as head of Global Lottery

Brightstar Lottery PLC announced that CEO Renato Ascoli will step down from his role as head of Global Lottery effective June 30, 2026. Effective July 1, Marco Tasso will be promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Global Lottery, reporting directly to CEO Vince Sadusky. Tasso is currently COO of International and Italy Operations and brings over 20 years of experience in both B2C and B2B segments. Brightstar is a global pure-play lottery company with nearly 90 lottery customers across six continents.
