Caledonia Mining Q2 profit up 27% on higher grade and gold price

Caledonia Mining reported second-quarter profit after tax of $30 million, up 27% from the comparable period in 2025, driven by an 18% production increase and a 34% higher average realized gold price of $4,259 an ounce. Revenue rose 16% to $76 million and EBITDA rose 16% to nearly $46 million, while earnings per share climbed 29% to $1.36. The company declared its usual quarterly dividend of $0.14 a share and ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $167.8 million. Management also updated full-year cost guidance, raising on-mine cash costs per ounce sold to a range of $1,600 to $1,800 and all-in sustaining costs to $2,500 to $2,700 per ounce, citing higher royalties, employee trust distributions, and new capital projects including a 133 kV power line. The Bilboes project remains on schedule with first production targeted for late 2028, and the company expects to close a $150 million interim funding facility by late August or early September.
