Citius Oncology shares tumble as Q3 revenue misses forecasts

Citius Oncology shares fell 10.05% in pre-market trading after fiscal third-quarter revenue of $1.5 million badly missed the $12.52 million consensus, though it improved from zero a year earlier as LYMPHIR's commercial rollout continued. The company posted a loss of $0.34 per share versus expectations for earnings of $0.03 per share, and a net loss of $8.9 million, or $0.08 per share, compared with a loss of $5.4 million, or $0.08 per share, in the prior-year period. Institutional vial orders rose 31% sequentially to 926, July orders hit 383 vials, the strongest month since launch, and 44 institutions have now prescribed and ordered LYMPHIR. Operating expenses climbed to $9.7 million from $4.9 million as Citius added 21 field-based professionals and eight medical science liaisons, and the company ended the quarter with $16.6 million in cash and cash equivalents.
