3D Systems Posts Flat Q2 Revenue as Healthcare Grows and Industrial Slides

3D Systems reported second-quarter results on August 3 that showed total revenue roughly flat at $94.6 million for the quarter ended June 30, though sales grew 1.4 percent once the software units sold off in 2025 are excluded. Gross margin slipped to 36.4 percent from 38.1 percent, and the quarter's Adjusted EBITDA improvement leaned on $2.6 million in tariff refunds, while the net loss of $12.9 million compared with a $104.4 million profit a year earlier that included a $125.7 million gain on the sale of Geomagic. The company raised $53.2 million in the quarter by issuing 18.9 million new shares, pushing total cash to $129.0 million, and guided third-quarter 2026 Adjusted EBITDA to between a loss of $3 million and a loss of $1 million.

3D Systems Joint Venture NAMI Secures Saudi Military Manufacturing License

3D Systems announced that its Saudi Arabian joint venture, the National Additive Manufacturing and Innovation Company, or NAMI, has been granted a Military Manufacturing License by the General Authority for Military Industries of Saudi Arabia. The license authorizes NAMI, a joint venture between 3D Systems, Dussur, and Saudi Energy, to engage in regulated military manufacturing activities in the Kingdom, placing it among a limited group of Saudi companies with this authorization. It strengthens NAMI’s ability to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goal of localizing more than 50 percent of military spending by 2030 and enables more efficient collaboration with international defense original equipment manufacturers on qualifying and producing critical aerospace and defense components locally. 3D Systems Helps Walter Reed Center Secure First FDA Clearance for Point-of-Care Implant

3D Systems supported the Defense Health Agency and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's 3D Medical Applications Center in obtaining FDA premarket clearance for the 3D MAC Titanium Cranial Plate System. The clearance marks the first FDA-cleared implant granted to a point-of-care institution and the first FDA-cleared medical device developed by Walter Reed's 3D Medical Applications Center. The patient-specific titanium cranial plate system is designed to treat active-duty military personnel and other patients with traumatic head injuries. The clearance follows a multi-year collaboration in which 3D Systems supported 3D MAC in establishing a quality management system, optimizing device design, validating manufacturing processes, and preparing the regulatory submission. 3D Systems shares closed Tuesday down 4.18 percent at $2.52 and were trading up 0.40 percent at $2.52 in the overnight market.
