Endesa, S.A. generates, distributes, and sells electricity in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Singapore, Italy, Morocco, and internationally. Its generation mix includes hydroelectric, nuclear, thermal, wind, and solar sources. The company also provides energy advisory and technology services, deploys electric vehicle charging and vehicle-to-grid infrastructure, develops integrated services for local administrations, and offers financial and engineering services for the electricity business. As of December 31, 2025, it had 22,616 MW of installed capacity, operated 321,843 km of distribution networks and transmission grids, and served 9,590 thousand electricity customers and 1,699 thousand gas customers. Formerly Empresa Nacional de Electricidad, S.A., it changed its name to Endesa, S.A. in June 1997, was incorporated in 1944, is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, and is a subsidiary of Enel Iberia Srl.
