The State Railway of Thailand is not involved. This is a collaboration between National Telecom Public Company Limited, or NT, and MEA Smart Energy Solutions Company Limited, or MEAei, to develop a Smart EV Ecosystem Management project. Suwanna Hansajarupan, Senior Executive Vice President for the Enterprise Business Division at NT, and Patra Suwandech, Director and Acting Managing Director of MEAei, signed the agreement, with Associate Professor Dr. Rangsan Wongsan, Chairman of MEAei, presiding over the ceremony at NT's headquarters on Chaeng Watthana Road. Under this collaboration, NT will put its existing non-telecom space nationwide to strategic use and will support communications networks and digital platforms such as cloud computing, data platforms, charging management systems, cybersecurity, and IoT platforms. The two organizations will develop the project under the name NEXA EV Station Hub, which comprises the concepts N for National Network, NT's nationwide network; E for Energy Ecosystem, MEAei's energy ecosystem; X for Experience and Connection, user connectivity and experience; and A for Access for All, access to services for everyone. The goal is not merely to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations, but also to cover the development of digital infrastructure and data management systems in order to create an EV ecosystem that links various services in a fully integrated way.

Nvidia, Google and Emerald AI have launched the AI Energy Management Alliance, or AEMA, a coalition that dynamically manages the electricity use of data centers in response to grid conditions. Emerald AI founder and CEO Varun Sivaram said the alliance's founding members are joined by a cohort of 20 launch partners, including the AI lab Anthropic, the semiconductor firm Analog Devices, and the energy companies AES, NRG, Constellation, RWE and National Grid. Sivaram said Emerald AI, which was founded under two years ago, is building with Nvidia and Digital Realty the world's first from-the-ground-up power-flexible AI data center, a 100 megawatt facility in Manassas, Virginia, that comes online later this year. He said Google, one of the founding members, has already done a gigawatt of demand response for its data centers, while Emerald and Nvidia have completed six demonstrations around the world, in London, Phoenix and Virginia. Sivaram said the alliance is talking to the FERC commissioners, state regulators and the administration about a grand bargain in which flexible AI data centers act as good citizens to grids and communities in return for faster and larger connections to the power grid.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ordered the North American Electric Reliability Corporation on July 16 to write mandatory reliability standards for AI data centers, with a deadline of Dec. 31. Gartner expects power shortages to operationally constrain 40 percent of existing AI data centers by 2027, while Bloom Energy's latest power report puts U.S. data center IT load at roughly 80 gigawatts today, climbing toward 150 gigawatts by 2028, more than double what forecasters were projecting two years earlier. Oracle's Tom Eyford said a data center represents the same size of impact to the grid as losing a large power plant, and that the bigger worry is how fast hundreds of megawatts can vanish, forcing operators to match generation and load in real time. On wildfire liability, an Oregon appeals court tossed a $1 billion wildfire verdict against PacifiCorp in April, South Dakota passed a law in March barring strict liability claims against utilities in wildfire suits, and Gov. Gavin Newsom pushed a "fast pay" proposal this summer that would speed payouts to wildfire victims in exchange for limiting later lawsuits. Oracle's Arun Nimmala said utilities should treat data centers as grid participants rather than passive units, and that deep learning frameworks have shown up to 35 percent reduction in load shedding during extreme weather events.

Pro Inside Public Company Limited, or PIS, disclosed during an Earnings Call (Opportunity Day) that it currently holds a backlog of more than 6,096 million baht awaiting revenue recognition. The information on its business plan was presented by Chief Executive Officer Benyapa Chalermwat and Navat Thalhikorn, Senior Director of the Finance and Accounting Division. For its second-half strategy, the company plans to continue joining bids for new projects from government agencies, while expanding its business base into new customer groups and industries. The company sees opportunities in government support policies across several areas, including Cloud systems, artificial intelligence, Enterprise Resource Planning, Banking, and the energy business related to Smart Grid systems. PIS will also push ahead with developing solutions and upskilling its personnel to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse customer base, while driving revenue in 2026 to grow in line with its targets and set consecutive new record highs.

Shikong Technology released its 2026 interim report. The company is leveraging the dual drivers of the nighttime economy and smart cities while accelerating a strategic transformation into the semiconductor storage sector. During the reporting period, losses narrowed, but operating cash flow turned negative due to procurement spending for the new trade business. The company achieved operating revenue of 122 million yuan, down 14.78 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent company was negative 29 million yuan, compared with negative 66 million yuan in the same period last year, a significant narrowing of losses. Net profit after deducting non-recurring items was negative 37 million yuan, also reflecting reduced losses. Net cash flow from operating activities was negative 154 million yuan, a sharp swing into net outflow from 80 million yuan in the same period last year, mainly because of the time lag between procurement payments and sales collections in the storage-related trade business. Total assets rose to 1.745 billion yuan, but cash and cash equivalents fell to 152 million yuan, a decline of 52.52 percent. In terms of business structure, nighttime economy revenue was 52 million yuan, down year on year. Smart city revenue was 64 million yuan, of which smart parking operation revenue was 55 million yuan, achieving year-on-year growth. The newly added storage-related trade business contributed about 7 million yuan in revenue, marking the initial landing of a second growth curve. The narrowing of losses was mainly due to settlements and collection breakthroughs on some long-dated projects, with previously recognized credit impairment losses and asset impairment losses reversed, bringing a total profit improvement of about 80 million yuan. However, administrative expenses rose 25.94 percent year on year, further squeezing profits. The main risks facing the company are uncertainty in accounts receivable recovery and working capital pressure from investment in the new business. The semiconductor storage industry is cyclical, and the effectiveness of integration and the release of production capacity still need time to be verified.

China Bester Group Telecom released its 2026 semi-annual report, achieving operating revenue of 1.358 billion yuan in the first half, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 10.6541 million yuan. Against a backdrop of pressure on its traditional communications business, the intelligent computing business delivered a standout performance, achieving operating revenue of 407 million yuan, up 36.87% year on year, with its share of overall revenue continuing to rise and making it one of the company's core growth segments. The company focused on key customer demand to expand intelligent computing clusters, and relied on its self-developed MaaS platform to provide differentiated token services. In smart city and other businesses, the company won in succession the EPC general contracting project for the first phase of mechanical and electrical new construction of DC8 at China Unicom's Hohhot cloud data base, and the Huayun intelligent computing hub center project in Dianjun District, Yichang, Hubei. In addition, the company invested 40 million yuan to participate in establishing the Lianbang Qiyuan venture capital fund, which has already begun operations, and jointly built an embodied intelligence joint research and development center with Wuhan University of Technology, while also completing investments in multiple AI industry chain projects including StepFun, Tsingmicro and ADA Space.

Zeyu Intelligent plans to acquire a 51% stake in Zhilian Xinneng Electric Power Technology Company for approximately 490 million yuan in cash. On August 21, the company signed a conditional cash asset purchase agreement with the target company and the counterparties. After the transaction is completed, Zhilian Xinneng will become a controlling subsidiary of Zeyu Intelligent and be included in its consolidated financial statements. Zhilian Xinneng is a national-level specialized and innovative 'little giant' enterprise, focusing on intelligent power equipment and distribution network automation technology, with business highly complementary to Zeyu Intelligent in the smart grid industry chain. On the same day, Zeyu Intelligent released its 2026 half-year report, with first-half operating revenue of approximately 458 million yuan, up 13.49% year on year, and net profit attributable to the parent of approximately 58.991 million yuan, up 68.11% year on year.

ST Shuai Electric has disclosed a draft plan for a major asset restructuring, proposing to acquire 100% equity in Hangzhou Huijia Information Technology Co., Ltd. for 410 million yuan in cash, entering the smart grid equipment sector. The appraised value of the target company Huijia Technology's full equity is 410 million yuan, representing a premium of 322 million yuan over the net assets attributable to the parent company's owners, with a premium rate as high as 363.82%. The transaction is expected to generate goodwill of 283 million yuan. The counterparty has committed that Huijia Technology's net profit from 2026 to 2028 will be no less than 43 million yuan, 50 million yuan, and 57 million yuan respectively, totaling no less than 150 million yuan over the three years. ST Shuai Electric's main business of integrated stoves continues to shrink, with 2025 revenue of 227 million yuan and a net loss, and it has been placed under delisting risk warning. This cross-border acquisition is interpreted by the market as a self-rescue effort to preserve its listing status.
