The Flat-Roll Products segment operates hot-rolled coil processing facilities that cut coils into sheets and plates, and also provides process and storage services for customer-owned coils on a fee basis. The Tubular Products segment manufactures line pipe, oil country pipe, and pipe for structural applications. The company serves metals distributors and customers that manufacture products such as metal buildings, railcars, heavy equipment, tanks and containers, trailers, component parts, and other fabricated metal products. Friedman Industries, Incorporated was incorporated in 1965 and is headquartered in Longview, Texas.

Friedman Industries Stock Surges 36% After Record Q4 Earnings and Sales

Friedman Industries shares have jumped 36.4% since reporting fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results, far outpacing the S&P 500's 3.4% gain. Net earnings for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, rose to $9.2 million, or $1.30 per diluted share, from $5.3 million, or $0.76 per share, a year earlier, while net sales climbed 48.4% to $191.8 million. The flat-roll segment generated $175.7 million in sales, up from $117.7 million, and the tubular segment posted $16.1 million, up from $11.5 million. For the full fiscal year, net earnings reached $19.5 million on sales of $646.9 million, and annual sales volume hit a record 706,000 tons, aided by the Century Metals acquisition. Management expects first-quarter fiscal 2027 sales volumes to be comparable to the fourth quarter and anticipates sequential margin improvement.
