H2O America provides regulated water utility and related services in the United States through its subsidiaries. It produces, purchases, stores, purifies, distributes, and sells water and wastewater services, sourcing groundwater from wells, surface water from watershed run-off and diversion, reclaimed water, and imported water from Valley Water District. The company also offers non-tariffed services such as water system operations, maintenance agreements, antenna site leases, contracted services, sewer operations, and a Linebacker protection plan for public drinking water customers in Connecticut and Maine. It owns undeveloped land in California and commercial properties and land parcels in Connecticut. Formerly known as SJW Group, it changed its name to H2O America in May 2025, was incorporated in 1985, and is headquartered in San Jose, California.

H2O America Receives Regulatory Approval for Texas Subsidiary’s Acquisition of Quadvest

H2O America announced that its Texas subsidiaries have received the state and federal regulatory approvals needed to acquire all assets of Quadvest, a regulated water and wastewater utility in the Houston metro area. The transactions, involving The Texas Water Company and Texas Water Operation Services, are expected to close on October 1, 2026. The combination will significantly expand H2O America's presence in Texas and advance its strategy to diversify and strengthen regulated utility operations in high-growth markets. Andrew F. Walters, chief executive officer of H2O America, said the addition of Quadvest will bring complementary local expertise and create a stronger platform for continued evolution in Texas.
