Innoviz Technologies announced on June 22, 2026, that it is supplying LiDAR units for Mobileye Global's Drive platform, which will be used in Mobileye's planned robotaxi service. Each vehicle in the fleet will integrate nine InnovizTwo LiDARs for full 360-degree coverage, representing a potential opportunity of more than 150,000 units as the fleet scales. Mobileye had earlier revealed plans to launch its own ride-hailing service in a major U.S. city in 2027, starting with roughly 100 robotaxis and aiming to expand to approximately 17,000 vehicles over five years. The initiative combines Mobileye Drive with the digital infrastructure of its Moovit subsidiary. Jefferies analyst Vanessa Jeffriess recently initiated coverage of Mobileye with an Underperform rating and an $8 price target, citing uncertain medium- to long-term outcomes.
