It also provides project development; maintenance and repair; spare parts; remote monitoring services for wind farms; upgrades; and technical and efficiency enhancements for existing turbines. Nordex SE was incorporated in 1985 and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany with a production facility in Izmir, Türkiye.

Nordex Secures 525 MW Wind Turbine Order in Türkiye

Nordex Group has secured an order from Türkerler Holding to supply and install wind turbines with a total capacity of about 525 megawatts in Türkiye. The contract covers the supply and installation of 72 N175/6.X turbines for the YEKA-5 R25 Sivas wind project in Sivas, with installation of the first unit scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027. The deal includes a 10-year Premium Service agreement, with an option to extend the service period to 25 years, and the turbines will be installed with 108-meter hub heights. Nordex said the order further strengthens its position in the Turkish wind market, where it holds a cumulative market share of 34 percent.

Nordex Doubles Q2 EBITDA and Confirms 2026 Outlook on Strong Order Growth

Nordex more than doubled its second-quarter EBITDA and tripled net income, driven by strong order growth and improved profitability, and reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance. Revenue rose 16.3% to 2.18 billion euros, EBITDA climbed to 223.8 million euros from 108.2 million a year earlier, and the EBITDA margin improved to 10.3% from 5.8%. Net income increased to 111.5 million euros from 31.0 million. Project order intake grew 32.2% to 3.05 gigawatts, valued at 3.0 billion euros, while the average selling price held at 0.97 million euros per megawatt. The total order book reached 18.4 billion euros, up from 14.3 billion, including 11.6 billion in projects and 6.8 billion in services. Turbine installations fell to 1,168 megawatts from 1,959 megawatts due to scheduling, blade-related delays in Türkiye, and regional mix changes, though production rose 23.1% to 1,953 megawatts. The company ended the quarter with a net cash position of 1.67 billion euros and free cash flow of 164.6 million euros.

Nordex Group Receives Orders for Over 197 MW From ENOVA and BMR in Germany

The Nordex Group has received new orders from ENOVA and BMR energy solutions for the supply and installation of 30 wind turbines with a combined capacity of more than 197 megawatts in Germany. The orders cover projects in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, and North Rhine-Westphalia, all including 20-year Premium Service agreements. In Lower Saxony, ENOVA is implementing a 68-megawatt repowering project with ten N163/6.X turbines, with installation starting in the fourth quarter of 2027. Another project in Schleswig-Holstein will see six N149/5.X turbines totaling 34.2 megawatts supplied to ENOVA, with construction beginning in early 2028. Two projects in North Rhine-Westphalia involve 14 turbines: the Nettetal project, sold by BMR to ENOVA, will use five N163/6.X turbines, while the Breberen repowering project, a partnership between ENOVA and BMR, will replace existing turbines with nine N163/6.X units, with installation for both starting in October 2027.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners reaches financial close on 392 MW Pestera II wind farm in Romania

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has reached financial close on the 392 megawatt Pestera II onshore wind project in Constanța County, Romania, through its Growth Markets Fund II. The project, one of the largest renewable energy investments in Romania and one of the largest project finance transactions in Central and Eastern Europe, secured a 15-year contract for difference for 245 megawatts of its capacity in December 2024 and is expected to begin commercial operations in 2028. The financing includes approximately 510 million euros in facilities from a consortium of seven banks: Erste Bank, Banca Comerciala Romana, Deutsche Bank, Societe Generale, BRD, Eurobank, and Piraeus Bank, with equity from Growth Markets Fund II, the European Investment Bank, and a Danish pension fund. Nordex will supply 56 turbines, Electrogrup is the balance of plant contractor, and Blue Power Partners will provide construction management services.
