NVE Corporation develops and sells spintronics devices, a nanotechnology that uses electron spin to acquire, store, and transmit information, in the United States. It manufactures spintronic products including sensors and couplers for sensing and transmitting data. Its sensors include standard sensors that detect magnetic or metallic materials to determine position, rotation, or speed for the factory automation market, as well as custom and medical sensors for medical devices that replace electromechanical magnetic switches. The company also offers spintronic couplers for power conversion, industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) markets, and DC-to-DC converters for energy conversion systems and industrial networks for IIoT and AIoT. It additionally undertakes research and development contracts and licenses spintronic magnetoresistive random access memory technology. Products are sold through distributors. NVE Corporation was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

NVE Reports 81% Revenue Surge to $11 Million in Fiscal First Quarter

NVE Corporation reported an 81% increase in total revenue to $11.0 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, driven by higher product sales and a strong semiconductor market. Product sales rose 82% to $10.7 million across defense and nondefense lines, while contract research and development revenue grew 53% to $299,322. Net income climbed 79% to $6.39 million, or $1.32 per diluted share, compared with $3.58 million, or $0.74 per share, in the prior-year period. Gross margin improved to 81.3% of revenue from 80.6%, and operating margin reached 66%. The company also announced the launch of two new wafer-level chip scale sensors for miniaturized implantable medical devices, which are stable in magnetic fields exceeding 9 Tesla for MRI safety. President and CEO Daniel Baker will retire in August 2026, with Vice President of Advanced Technology Peter Eames appointed as his successor, and the board plans to expand from five to seven directors pending shareholder approval.
