OnKure Therapeutics to Host Virtual KOL Event on PI3Kα Inhibitor Selectivity and Pan-Mutant Allosteric Inhibition

OnKure Therapeutics announced it will host a virtual key opinion leader event on July 15, 2026, featuring Benjamin F. Cravatt of The Scripps Research Institute and Robert Abraham of Engine Biosciences to discuss the importance of PI3Kα selectivity and the company's structure-based drug design for allosteric pan-mutant PI3Kα inhibitors. Management will provide an overview of OnKure's strategy for its next-generation pan-mutant PI3Kα inhibitor portfolio, which includes OKI-345 for breast cancer and OKI-355 for vascular anomalies, both designed to selectively inhibit mutant PI3Kα while sparing wildtype PI3Kα to potentially improve the therapeutic index and avoid class-limiting toxicities. The company plans to submit Investigational New Drug applications for both candidates in the first half of 2027. A live question and answer session will follow the formal presentations.
