Pocket Network Foundation Co-Authors Ethereum Standard for Decentralized AI Agent Validation
Pocket Network Foundation has co-authored and submitted ERC-8294, a draft Ethereum standard that enables permissionless, operator-diverse validator networks to serve as the trust layer for AI agents. The proposal extends ERC-8004, Ethereum's emerging standard for trustless AI agents, by defining a standard smart contract interface called IValidationNetwork that allows a network of independent validators, rather than a single address, to verify AI agents within ERC-8004's Validation Registry. A key design feature is the treatment of operator diversity as an explicit, enforceable policy parameter, letting callers specify both the number of validators and the number of distinct independent operators required for attestation. The standard is strictly additive and does not modify ERC-8004, preserving compatibility with existing single-address validators. The draft is co-authored by contributors from Pocket Network Foundation and Synaptika, and is now under review by Ethereum's ERC editors with open discussion on Ethereum Magicians.
