QT Imaging Q2 revenue doubles on higher scanner shipments

QT Imaging Holdings reported second-quarter revenue of $7.4 million, a 103% increase from the prior year, driven by higher scanner shipments. The company shipped 15 breast acoustic CT scanners in the quarter, up from eight a year earlier, and reaffirmed fiscal 2026 revenue guidance of approximately $39 million, more than double the $18.9 million reported in 2025. Gross margin fell to 41% from 50% due to higher weighted average inventory costs, while operating expenses rose to $4.9 million from $2.9 million. Net loss widened to $11.1 million, including an $8.3 million non-cash loss on debt extinguishment and modification, after the company extended its senior secured term loan with Lynrock Lake by two years to March 31, 2029 and increased the interest rate from 10% to 12% per annum. The company also completed a $10 million underwritten public offering and said accounts receivable of $7.4 million as of June 30, 2026 was collected in early August, lifting cash and restricted cash to approximately $14.2 million as of August 7, 2026.
