Rank One Computing announced Thursday that it has secured a five-year federal contract valued at $5.1 million, including exercised options, to provide its ROC ABIS platform to a major national security program. The contract includes committed revenue of $2.5 million, with the total value subject to funding and option exercise. Shares of ROC gained nearly 8% in pre-market trading.

Rank One Computing, known as ROC, announced it has secured the fastest latent fingerprint search speed globally along with multiple Rank-1 accuracy wins in the NIST Evaluation of Latent Fingerprint Technologies benchmark across key datasets used by the FBI and U.S. Department of Defense. The company’s algorithm was approximately 64 times faster than the mean of the top five vendors evaluated in the benchmark while retaining top-tier accuracy in False Negative Identification Rate at Rank-1. Notable accuracy results include a number one global Rank-1 accuracy on the Extended Feature Set subset of the FBI-Provided Solved Dataset, a tie for number one among Western providers in Rank-1 accuracy on the FBI Laboratory Dataset, and error-rate improvements of up to two times across evaluated FBI and DoD benchmark conditions. The evaluation included 22 total vendors and is a key factor in determining technologies selected by U.S. government agency investigative programs. ROC positions its American-made technology as a trusted domestic alternative to legacy foreign biometric systems, emphasizing that agencies do not have to choose between faster searches and stronger candidate returns.

ROC has been named winner of the Facial Recognition System of the Year award in the 9th Annual AI Breakthrough Awards. The award, presented by market intelligence organization AI Breakthrough, recognizes top companies and technologies in the global artificial intelligence market. ROC CEO B. Scott Swann stated that the recognition reflects the company's commitment to advancing secure, responsible Vision AI for identity and security missions.
