Sylvania Platinum Limited, together with its subsidiaries, produces platinum group metals (PGMs) — platinum, palladium, and rhodium — as well as chrome in South Africa. It operates through two core business units: PGM production from tailings retreatment operations, and near-surface PGM exploration. Its PGM production comes from the Sylvania Resources dump operations, including the retreatment of chrome tailings and the Chrome Tailings Retreatment Plant. Its near-surface exploration and development interests include the Everest North project, the Volspruit project, and exploration of the Northern Platreef projects Aurora and Hacra. The company also explores for ruthenium, iridium, nickel, and copper deposits. Founded in 2007, Sylvania Platinum Limited is based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
