Honeywell Community Solar Project SB-14 Achieves Commercial Operation in Upstate New York

PowerBank Corporation announced that the 7.01 MW DC ground-mount community solar project known as SB-14 in upstate New York has achieved commercial operation. The project is the second of three in a portfolio totaling 21 MW DC, developed and constructed by PowerBank for Honeywell under a US$41 million engineering, procurement, and construction agreement. With SB-14 online, 14.02 MW of clean energy is now being generated for the community, capable of powering approximately 875 homes annually. The facility operates as a community solar site, selling credits to subscribers under the NYSERDA NY-Sun Program, and is built on an industrial brownfield owned by Honeywell. PowerBank has retained an operations and maintenance contract for the projects.

PowerBank Corporation announced that the 7.01 MW DC Honeywell community solar project SB 13-2 in upstate New York has achieved commercial operation. The project is part of a US$41 million transaction covering a portfolio of three community solar projects totaling 21 MW DC developed and constructed by PowerBank for Honeywell. The ground-mount facility is built on an industrial brownfield owned by Honeywell and is expected to operate as a community solar site, selling credits to subscribers under the NYSERDA NY-Sun Program. The project is planned to transfer from Honeywell International to Honeywell Aerospace upon the completion of the spinoff on June 29, 2026. PowerBank has now developed and constructed over 100 megawatts of clean energy projects across North America, with a pipeline exceeding one gigawatt.
