Truist Financial Corporation is a financial services company that provides banking and trust services in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. It operates through two segments: Consumer and Small Business Banking, and Wholesale Banking. Its offerings include deposit products such as checking, savings, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, and individual retirement accounts, along with lending, asset management, brokerage, mobile and online banking, payment solutions, and wealth management services. The company was formerly known as BB&T Corporation and changed its name to Truist Financial Corporation in December 2019. It was founded in 1872 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
