ULTIMA completes full transition to its proprietary Ultima Chain network
ULTIMA has officially completed its full transition to Ultima Chain, its own proprietary blockchain network. The move shifts the project from the Smart network, which had powered its initial growth since 2023, to infrastructure it fully owns and controls. Ultima Chain is now the main and primary network for the ULTIMA coin, with all development concentrated there. The project reports that 84% of ULTIMA coins are ultimately in circulation, with minted coins held in smart contracts and released on a fixed schedule of 5.6 coins per day, or 168 coins per month, representing 0.17% of the total supply monthly. The vesting schedule includes a halving in 2027 that will reduce the annual release rate from 2.04% to 1.02% at the start of the year and further to 0.51% by year-end.
