It operates through four segments: Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking; Consumer and Business Banking; Payment Services; and Treasury and Corporate Support. The company offers depository services such as checking and savings accounts and time certificates, as well as lending services including traditional credit products, credit cards, lease financing, import/export trade, agricultural finance, and asset-backed lending. It also provides cash management, capital markets, trust and investment management, asset management, fiduciary services, and investment and insurance products, along with corporate and purchasing cards, corporate trust, merchant and ATM processing, mortgage banking, insurance, brokerage, and leasing services. Founded in 1863, U.S. Bancorp is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
