US Dollar/Chinese Yuan Offshore FX Spot Rate

USD/CNH is the US dollar against the offshore Chinese yuan, the freely traded, market-driven version of China's currency, as opposed to the tightly managed onshore CNY. It is a key market gauge of China: the yuan weakens on capital-outflow fears, trade tensions, or PBoC easing. The offshore rate can diverge from the onshore fix, signalling market pressure that the authorities are resisting.
