Quantum X Labs Inc. has announced the launch of Qatacomb, a new research initiative through its QuantumQ Security operation to explore quantum-native approaches to protecting sensitive information. The program will investigate security architectures that combine efficient access for authorized users with security properties rooted in quantum physics, and will include theoretical validation, simulation, and proof-of-concept testing on quantum hardware. The company cites a growing strategic need as quantum computing reshapes cybersecurity, with the global quantum security market projected to grow from approximately $2.5 billion in 2026 to approximately $9.8 billion by 2030, a compound annual growth rate of about 40%. Quantum X Labs announced that its subsidiary Nuclear Quantum has developed a quantum computing approach to address a bottleneck in nuclear particle transport simulations. The technology translates the physical transport model into a quantum circuit, allowing particle propagation and random-walk dynamics to be simulated directly within quantum computation. The project establishes the core quantum oracle required for future integration with Grover-inspired quantum algorithms. Nuclear Quantum plans to expand the model to more complex transport scenarios and evaluate its potential to support faster, more precise, and more scalable simulation tools for the nuclear-medicine industry.

Quantum X Labs announced progress on its AI-driven quantum error-correction program, reporting that its transformer-based QECCT decoder outperformed the classical Minimum-Weight Perfect Matching decoder in selected simulated regimes. The company executed its Deep Quantum Error Correction workflow on an NVIDIA GPU in an AWS environment and benchmarked the decoder across controlled toric-code noise configurations. QXL also tested synthetic surface-code configurations modeled on Google's public surface-code geometry, with the QECCT decoder showing stable logical and bit error rates under varying physical error conditions. Quantum X Labs has demonstrated its first fully all-optical Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscope in its laboratory. The system uses optical excitation and optical readout instead of conventional electrostatic actuation and sensing, removing electrode structures from the resonator design. This architecture is intended to reduce reliance on electrode-based components, offering simpler resonator architecture, fewer potential failure points, intrinsic electrical isolation, and reduced sources of noise and drift. The demonstration supports continued development of optical inertial sensing systems for potential deployment in aerospace, defense, autonomous transportation, and navigation applications. Quantum X Labs plans to refine the technology through performance optimization, system integration, and evaluation of potential collaborations, with a development path toward deployable inertial measurement units.
