Worldcoin’s WLD Jumps 8% on Grayscale ETF Filing

Worldcoin’s WLD token jumped about 8% over 24 hours after Grayscale filed to launch the first US exchange-traded fund tied to the biometric crypto project. The Grayscale Worldcoin ETF, a passive vehicle, would hold WLD and track its price through the CoinDesk Worldcoin Benchmark Rate, listing on Nasdaq under ticker GWLD if approved. WLD is the 55th-largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of around $1.4 billion, and the filing marks the latest sign of institutional appetite following Eightco’s corporate treasury built around the token last year. The fund cannot trade until the registration takes effect and WLD meets Nasdaq’s eligibility criteria, with BitGo Bank & Trust as custodian and Bank of New York Mellon as transfer agent and administrator.
