Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. has appointed Diana Houghton as a Non-Executive Director, effective from the end of its Annual General Meeting on 7 July 2026. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of Marshalls plc. Houghton brings extensive cross-sector experience in retail, leisure, consumer goods and industrial manufacturing, covering strategy, M&A, turnarounds and organic business improvement. Her previous roles include Senior Adviser to the National Audit Office, board positions at Thorntons plc, and senior strategy roles at Smiths Group, Allied Domecq and Bass. Chairman Steve Cooke said her appointment further strengthens the board's balance, breadth of perspective and commitment to robust governance.
