AeroVironment shares jumped 5.7% in the afternoon session after Nominal announced a strategic collaboration with the aerospace and defense company to supply test and operations data platform infrastructure supporting defense hardware production across multiple programs. Under the agreement, AeroVironment adopted Nominal's data platform to unify and manage engineering test capture, cross-team reviews, and manufacturing traceability across its uncrewed aircraft and counter-UAS operations. The collaboration is designed to power accelerated test and production data for mission-critical hardware at scale across the company's various development programs. The move comes four days after the stock gained 10.4% on record second-quarter revenue of $480.5 million, up 5.7% year-over-year and above analyst estimates of $457.6 million, alongside a record funded backlog of $1.5 billion, up 37% from a year earlier. AeroVironment is down 39.6% since the start of the year and trades at $154.84 per share, 62.2% below its 52-week high of $409.83 from October 2025.
