Akamai Technologies Inc$2.8B in multiyear cloud infrastructure commitments, including $600M from a robotics company, drive expected low-teens revenue growth in 2027.

Akamai Technologies now anticipates overall revenue growth will accelerate into the low teens in 2027, driven by $2.8 billion in multiyear cloud infrastructure services commitments signed so far this year. Co-Founder and CEO F. Leighton announced that a U.S.-based technology company has committed more than $600 million over four years for cloud infrastructure services to power its robotics development, bringing the total volume of year-to-date multiyear commitments to more than $2.8 billion. Second-quarter revenue reached $1.1 billion, up 5% year-over-year, with cloud infrastructure services revenue of $99 million surging 39%. The company is temporarily pausing share repurchases to reallocate capital toward its high-growth cloud infrastructure pipeline and has raised $3.5 billion through two equal tranches of zero-coupon convertible debt maturing in 2030 and 2032.
