Stocks are poised for further gains on Friday after Amazon reported better-than-expected second quarter revenue and cloud growth, sending its shares up more than 10 percent in pre-market trading. The S&P 500 futures are up 0.2 percent, though a nearly 2 percent surge in U.S. crude oil futures and a steep 8 percent drop in Apple shares may limit the upside. On Thursday, the Nasdaq spiked 679.24 points or 2.8 percent to 25,122.18, the S&P 500 rose 121.48 points or 1.7 percent to 7,437.63, and the Dow jumped 613.92 points or 1.2 percent to 52,508.06. Overseas, Japan's Nikkei 2225 Index soared 4 percent and South Korea's Kospi skyrocketed 17.9 percent, while major European markets also moved higher.
