Arctic Gateway Group is expanding shipments of critical minerals across the Hudson Bay Railway network, with new zinc and other concentrate movements from northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The company confirmed that Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan will soon begin shipping concentrate from the McIlvenna Bay mine to eastern Canada using the railway's Flin Flon subdivision, following Eldorado Gold Corporation's acquisition of Foran Mining. Meanwhile, zinc concentrate from Hudbay Minerals' Snow Lake operations is moving north to the Port of Churchill for export to European markets, marking the third consecutive year of such shipments. The railway has undergone significant upgrades and AGG is working with federal and provincial partners on further modernization to achieve full interoperability with Canada's Class 1 rail network.
