AST SpaceMobile successfully launched BlueBirds 8, 9, and 10 into orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral, sending shares up 5.08% intraday. The three satellites feature arrays measuring approximately 2,400 square feet, the largest commercial communications arrays ever deployed in low Earth orbit, and are designed to deliver peak speeds of nearly 200 Mbps directly to standard smartphones, nearly double the 98.9 Mbps achieved by the company's Block 1 satellites. BlueBirds 11, 12, and 13 are in final preparations for shipment, while satellites through BlueBird 37 are already in active production and assembly in Midland, Texas. The growing constellation moves AST SpaceMobile closer to initial service activation across the US, Canada, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and Japan, supported by agreements with nearly 60 mobile network operators covering more than 3 billion subscribers and strategic partners including AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, and Google.
