BlackRock IncIBIT saw $201.2M in redemptions, largest outflow since July 31

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $236.46 million in net outflows on September 1, reversing the previous session's $216.70 million inflow and marking the largest daily outflow since July 31, just as Bitcoin briefly dipped below $77,000. The outflow was concentrated in BlackRock's IBIT, which saw $201.2 million in redemptions, and Fidelity's FBTC, which lost $43.7 million, while Bitwise's BITB gained $8.4 million. This follows a record August when these ETFs attracted roughly $3.52 billion in net inflows, reducing the year-to-date outflow from about $5.29 billion to $1.77 billion, and total net assets climbed from $76.29 billion to approximately $99.61 billion. Ethereum and XRP ETFs continued to see inflows on September 1, with about $11 million and $14.4 million respectively, suggesting possible rotation within crypto rather than an outright exit. The flow reversal coincides with rising Treasury yields and macroeconomic uncertainty, leaving the market to watch whether inflows resume or outflows persist.
