MicroStrategy IncorporatedArticle highlights Bitcoin treasury companies losing value, with Strategy mentioned as an exception but still part of the sector decline.

Bitcoin treasury companies have shed over $80 billion in value as their business model unwinds, according to Scott Melker on Yahoo Finance's "The Daily Wolf." The combined market cap of the 50 largest Bitcoin treasury companies has fallen from approximately $150 billion in July 2025 to $67 billion, erasing more than $80 billion. Of these 50 companies, 43 now trade below their pre-announcement levels, and 35 have dropped by at least 50%. In July, these companies became net sellers of Bitcoin, selling about 2,500 more than they purchased. Melker criticizes the lack of operating cash flow and planning among these firms, contrasting them with Strategy, which has built a unique capital market machine and accumulated nearly a million Bitcoin over six years.
