BitGo Holdings announced Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of NYDIG's institutional trading business and related assets, expanding its platform with derivatives, financing, structured products, and capital markets capabilities. About 30 NYDIG employees and its institutional client trading relationships have joined BitGo as part of the deal. The company expects the expanded offering to strengthen its institutional business and increase the stickiness of client assets on the platform. NYDIG will now focus on its power generation, bitcoin mining, and HPC data centers, with a development pipeline exceeding 3 gigawatts, including more than 1 gigawatt expected to be deliverable in 2027 and 2028. BitGo CEO Mike Belshe said the transaction will scale the company's trading and infrastructure capabilities while expanding its reach among sophisticated institutional clients.
