BOE Technology Group disclosed its 2026 half-year results on August 28. During the reporting period, it achieved operating revenue of 103.1 billion yuan, up 1.8% year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached 5.2 billion yuan, a sharp year-on-year increase of 61.6%. Net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 3 billion yuan, up 31.8% year on year. In its core display business, BOE remained the global leader in shipments of the five major mainstream LCD applications. OLED shipments exceeded 80 million units, ranking first in China and second globally. China's first 8.6-generation OLED production line began mass production in June. Among other businesses, sensor business revenue surged 88% year on year, overseas revenue from MLED direct-view displays rose sharply, and the smart healthcare business grew steadily. The company is accelerating its deployment in three innovative businesses: glass-based packaging substrates, perovskite, and optical interconnect. The pilot line for glass-based packaging substrates has been connected and samples have been delivered. In terms of shareholder returns, the company repurchased about 86 million A-shares and about 85 million B-shares, paying nearly 500 million yuan and 400 million Hong Kong dollars respectively. It also completed a targeted capital reduction of minority equity in the Hefei 10.5-generation line, raising its shareholding to 50.14%.
