Boeing signed agreements with two Polish defense companies to establish maintenance and support capabilities for Poland’s planned fleet of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The agreements with Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A. and the Military Central Bureau of Design and Technology S.A. cover maintenance, repair, overhaul, ground support equipment and workforce training. Poland has contracted for 96 AH-64Es and is set to become the world’s second-largest Apache operator after the United States. The agreements are part of Poland’s offset requirements and are intended to move more maintenance and sustainment work into the country.
