Carpenter Technology Chairman Tony Thene has been reappointed as CEO on a permanent basis following the sudden passing of Brian Malloy, who had assumed the role on July 1. Thene stated that his sudden passing last week was a tragic loss and a shock to all of us, and that he was reappointed by the Board of Directors to the role of CEO. The company reported record fourth-quarter operating income of $206.9 million, up 37% year-over-year, driven by a Specialty Alloys Operations segment margin of 37.8%. For fiscal 2027, Carpenter projects operating income between $850 million and $880 million, with a fiscal 2029 target of approximately $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion, supported by accelerating aerospace demand and a brownfield expansion project.
